Mauritius: The legislative elections today mobilises 14,000 employees




The general election opened this morning at 7:00 am in voting station of Mauritius and 6:00 at the side of Rodrigues.
 
As part of the anticipated parliamentary elections, some 14,000 employees will ensure the proper conduct of elections in 2,072 voting stations in 317 voting centers.
 
The classrooms have been transformed for this occasion into voting stations. These will close at 18:00 in Mauritius and at 17:00 in Rodrigues.
 
936,975 Mauritian voters are called to the polls and to elect 62 members who will be represented at the National Assembly.
