Mauritius: The judge reserves his judgment in the case of Aurora Gros Coissy and the rendering of the sentence

However the judge Bobby Madhub decided for the time being to reserve his judgment of sentence to leave time to examine similar verdicts. No date has been communicated on the final ruling of the penalty for the accused.

As a reminder, Aurore Gros Coissy had been arrested at her descent of plane in Plaisanceon August 19 2011, officers from the drug squad, with 1,673 tablets of Subutex - listed as a hard drug on the island - concealed inside a packet of biscuits.

Since then the young woman of 27 years, from her cell, has always maintained her innocence, denouncing a plot by her former Mauritian boyfriend and would have given her the package as a simple gift.
