Mauritius: The former Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam arrested by the police




According to his lawyer, Navin Ramgoolam, has been arrested by the police this Friday, February 6, 2015 in late afternoon in the context of the case of the housebreaking of his camp in Roches-Noires.

While he had initially responded to a summons for interrogation at the central Barracks (headquarters of the police in Mauritius) the former Prime Minister of Mauritius might spend the night in police cells, as reported by the newspaper lexpress.mu line.
 
The executive members of the Labour Party for their part denounced this arrest and the method used by the police.
