Mauritius: The French Development Agency will assist in the financing of one billion rupees to strengthen the port capacities




The French Development Agency (AFD) has recently acted the funding of one billion rupees * to the Mauritian authorities for the expansion of quays and strengthening of port operations. The necessary modern equipment will be bought and for discharging the containers at the heart of the harbor zone of Port-Louis.
 
These new quays and facilities will help to increase the storage capacity on the horizon of 2017 and this in order to annually receive 750,000 containers in the harbor of the Mauritian capital against 400,000 currently.
 
As a reminder, the transshipment sector of containers on Port Louis platforms is growing.
