Since Wednesday, a cold weather with a marked drop in temperatures in the evening affected Mauritius in the wake of a powerful anticyclone which takes the direction of the shores of the island.

The sensation of cold will be notably strengthened by the presence of an icy wind across the country.

Rains have already hit the island since last night and are expected to persist during the day this Thursday, July 10, 2014.

On the heights of the Plaines Wilhems district, the thermometer could display around 13 ° C.

The services of the meteorological station of Vacoas predict that this coldness could continue until this weekend, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
