Mauritius: Syndicated police officers on the island may soon be a reality




Claimed for many years by the Mauritian police officers, the case of the establishment of a union for members of the police force in Mauritius is in progress and could take shape soon.
 
The Ministry of Labour in any case lately expressed his support for this outcome for police officers.
 
As a reminder, 10,836 policemen and policewomen were counted 893 in 2013 for a population of 1,295,500 inhabitants at 31 December 2013.
