Mauritius: Pilots of Air Mauritius “the highest paid "in the world according to an audit




An audit of the human resources of the national airline company of Mauritius, Air Mauritius, has recently highlighted that in three years the payroll within the company has increased by more than two and currently represents 500 million rupees (12.5 million euro) against 200 million rupees (5 million euro) before, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
 
Air Mauritius pilots recorded among the highest salary monthly paid by the company amounting approximately 250,000 rupees (6,578 euros), which would position them as the highest paid teams in the world according the audit.
 
This also highlights that between two flights, a crew member of Air Mauritius receives 200 euros (8,000 rupees) per night spent outside Mauritius. The wages constitute in particular the second expenditure item of the national airline after the kerosene.
