Photographs taken of the tarmac of the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgolam international airport of Plaisance in Mauritius is strictly prohibited because they could be used for terrorist purposes and particularly constitute a serious threat to airport security.

A young British tourist aged 20 years has recently learned from the same security guard who wanted to take her mobile phone with which she had just taken a snapshot considered prohibited.

The latter refused since no prohibition sign was displayed.

The British tourist has on a recent trip to Mauritius photographed her teddy (panda) with at the background the Plaisance airport, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.

"For any picture or video, you need the prior approval of the Department of Civil Aviation and once it got the green light, everything must be under police escort agency or other safety control," says one the side of Airports of Mauritius Ltd.
