Mauritius: Over 6,000 new vehicles sold from the beginning of 2014 on the island




Since the beginning of 2014, 21,420 vehicles were registered in Mauritius, including 6089 new vehicles and 5688 pickups reconditioned cars, mostly of Japanese makes imported second hand, an increase of 3.7 % compared to the same period of the previous calendar year.
 
The Toyota group Mauritius - with 1,392 sales recorded - prances ahead of other car dealers such as Nissan (1165 sales), KIA (875 sales) and Hyundai (682 sales), as indicated by the Le Matinal newspaper.
 
As a reminder, 7729 new vehicles and 7132 reconditioned pickups cars were registered in Mauritius in 2013.
