Mauritius: Over 15,000 cruise passengers landed on the island in 2014




These are 18 cruise ships that docked in Mauritius in 2014. 15,661 tourists and tour passengers were on board.
The authorities intend to accommodate by 2025 some 100,000 cruise passengers.
 
As a reminder, the tourist cruise industry in Mauritius made back in the crates around 600 million rupees every year *, nearly 6 million rupees for the sole body of the Mauritius Port Authority.
 
New sea port facilities to receive cruise ships and passengers at Salines, in the outskirts of Port-Louis, should be constructed by the end of 2016, and this for numerical work to 150 million rupees.
