Mauritius: Navin Ramgoolam meets the couple Barack and Michelle Obama at the White House

The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Ramgoolam, present since the beginning of the week in Washington at the African-American Summit on the initiative of the US president, paused on Tuesday for the photo souvenir in company of the presidential couple Barack and Michelle Obama in the blue lounge of the White House.
 
Various African heads of State and Government were invited later in the evening to take part in the official dinner, as indicated in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
 
 "This is the first in the history of the United States that African leaders receive such a reception," said the press release of the Office of the Prime Minister of Mauritius.
 
A few hours earlier, Navin Ramgoolam, had also participated in workshops in the presence of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States, and the American Secretary of State, John Kerry.
 
As a reminder, the theme of the Summit, which was completed on Wednesday was titled: 'Investing in the next generation'.
 
The African-American Summit put forward trade and investment on the African continent, as well as the opening up of markets.
