Mauritius: More than 618,000 kilos of the Mauritian pineapple exported on the French market

The Mauritian pineapples are popular on the French market. Thus, between January and September 2014, mainland France has imported 618,183 kilos of pineapple from local producers for a total cost of 44 million rupees. *
Other countries such as the Netherlands (11 million rupees), Switzerland (7.2 million rupees) and Belgium (3.2 million rupees) also import Mauritian pineapple to supply the shelves of supermarkets where their customers are always happy to savor the sweet juicy exotic fruit to perfection.
