Mauritius Island connected to Chengdu in China in July with at least one weekly flight




After Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, it is this time Chengdu, capital of the province of Sichuan in southwestern China, which will be connected to Mauritius through at least one weekly direct flight as from the month of July operated by Airbus A340-300.
 
In the meantime five charter flights of Air Mauritius are already displaying practically full on the link. The inaugural flight between Chengdu and Plaisance airport thus took place on Thursday, February 5th.
 
As a reminder, the Chinese tourists have been 63,365 to visit Mauritius in the year 2014, a strong growth of 51.2%. In 2013, 41,913 Chinese tourists had visited Mauritius.
