Mauritius: Former president of the Republic Cassam Uteem appointed special representative to Burundi

The former President of the Republic of Mauritius, Cassam Uteem (1992-2002), who was recently the head of an observer mission of the African Union in Tunisia, has been appointed special representative to the Burundi Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon.
 
Cassam Uteem work within the MENUB which was created by the UN bodies to supervise the upcoming elections scheduled in 2015 in Burundi
 
The former president of the Republic of Mauritius will take up his post from 1 January alongside Issaka Siuna, former minister of Justice of Niger, who has been on his part an observer for elections in Madagascar, as reported the newspaper Le Mauricien.
