Mauritius: Five young chefs will honour the quadricolore flag of Mauritius at a prestigious culinary competition on the side of South Africa




 
Five members * of the Mauritius Heads Association (MCA) fly to South Africa on October 1 next to represent the Mauritian  flag on the side of Johannesburg at the prestigious competition of the African Culinary Cup, which brings together youth leaders from Africa aged of 25 years or less.
 
A stay that will also allow them to rub shoulders with professionals of cuisine from different backgrounds to share their culinary experiences and put in the spotlight in plates and in the mouth the Mauritian know-how.
 
The association leaders Mauritians (MCA) which is at the initiative of the South African move, benefits from the partnership among others of the Le Canonnier hotel, Le Mauricia and Ambre as well as the support of the Tourist Office of Mauritius (Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority MTPA) and Air Mauritius.
 
For the president of the Association of Mauritians Chefs Mooroogun Coopen, who wore his new apron at the head of the association in May, "the MCA intends to invest more to ensure that our participation in such events does not stop only at the culinary field. Through our participants, the MCA wants to transform the Mauritian presence in these countries a platform to promote the Mauritius destination. "
 
The next date in the international calendar is already programmed in August 2015 with the Coupe d’Afrique de Pâtisserie which will take place in Casablanca and that will be the springboard for accessing the world.
