Mauritius: Euro exceeds the symbolic bar of 40 rupees a breath of fresh air for the Mauritian tourism industry




The Mauritian rupee have depreciated for the past few days on the interbank market of currencies against the euro, which has been once again restored colors in the wake of a stronger European currency against the US dollar.
 
While the euro was trading at around 36 rupees at the end of January 2015 in Mauritius, a historically low interest rates, the euro has once again exceeded, Tuesday, March 24, 2015, the symbolic bar of 40 rupees that had not was reached since 22 August 2014.
 
A breath of fresh air in any case for the Mauritian textile exporters which operate towards the euro zone and the tourism industry of Mauritius
