Mauritius: Construction of the first 7-star hotel in the north of the island

The new government in place in Mauritius would like to further develop the first economic pillar of the island represented by the tourism industry. The Minister of Finance Vishnu Lutchmeenaraidoo has announced that a few days ago, a 7 star stamped on its pavilion will be built on the side of Pointe des Lascars under the supervision of a developer of Dubai.

This luxury hotel could eventually create a direct and indirect employment pool for about a thousand of people in the Rivière du Rempart region located in the north of Mauritius.

As a reminder, 1,038,968 tourists landed in Mauritius last year, an increase of 4.6% in comparison with tourist arrivals recorded in 2013 and its 993,106 tourists recorded.
