Mauritius: August 2014, the second hottest month in the history of the Mauritian meteorological conditions in Port Louis




 
The director of the meteorological station of Vacoas, Mamade Beebeejaun, has recalled this weekend that the month of august is marked by an important gap in temperatures registered on the island.
 
Indeed, in the wake of the extreme global heat, Mauritius has registered a peak of temperature at 36.6° Celsius on the side of Port Louis, a mercury level never reached since a hundred years in the Mauritian capital, that is, the second hottest month in the history of the Mauritian meteorological conditions.
 
Furthermore, still during the month of August 2014, the thermometer displayed 10.6 ° Celsius in Mont-Bois, in the South-East of Mauritius, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
