Mauritius: Air Mauritius probably in the red for its financial year 2014-2015

The latest assessment for the 2014-2015 financial year and which ends March 31 of this year would not be good for the national airline company, Air Mauritius, with accumulated losses of approximately 20 million euros (800 million rupees*), as reported exclusively the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.

The purchase hedging system through which the company has negotiated beforehand the price of oil per barrel at 105 dollars during the period for cover of the fluctuations and the risks on aircraft fuel while during Sunday gross was approximately 59 dollars a barrel. This hedging policy turn would have cost Air Mauritius 2 billion rupees.
