Mauritius: A new luxury hotel project in southern approved by the authorities




Previously announced in March 2013, the Mauritian group Currimjee, a pillar of Mauritius's economy, has recently relaunched its luxury hotel project which will be built on the seafront in Barge in the southeastern Mauritius. The Mauritian group has recently received approval of the authorities.
 
The hotel establishment of more than 200 rooms, swimming pools, spa and restaurants will necessitate an investment of approximately one billion rupees. * The structure will be operated by a Thai hotel chain.
 
This construction will drain thus in its wake an employment pool of more than 1,000 jobs available within the new luxury hotel. The latter hopes to attract European and Asian tourists.
