Mauritius: A biomass power plant project under study, a French company to maneuver




The Mauritian authorities are currently working on a project of biomass power plant that could generate 6.5 megawatts per hour with waste residues as energy source of the bioreactor by running steam turbines.
 
The French company specialized in Zeta Pellet fuel production has been sought.
 
The hexagonal business is thus considering to invest 1.3 billion rupees * for achieving of this ecological project. Farmers in Mauritius should be associated in the project to culture plants (bamboo), which will feed also into the production unit.
 
The innovative project could ultimately creating 500 to 800 direct jobs in Mauritius.
