Mauritius: 629,751 tourists for the first seven months of 2015




While in last June tourist arrivals in Mauritius have rose by 8.3% with 65,459 travelers enumerated, July recorded a further strong increase of 16.6% with respect to July 2014.
 
And 95,569 tourists arrived on the island in July 2015 against 81,900 one year earlier. Visitors from mainland France are in progression of 19%, the British are 18.5% and German tourists by 27%. The Reunionese recorded more than 8.4%, an increase in July 2015 on the Mauritius destination.
 
The Chinese market is also experiencing a growth of 47% and the Great Indian Peninsula of 12.5%. For the first seven months of 2015, Mauritius has attracted 629,751 tourists against 572,632 travelers enumerated between January and July 2014, an increase of tourist arrivals by 10%.
