Mauritius: 52% of the Mauritian population regularly try their luck at gambling




According to a recent survey, 52% of the population regularly try their luck at Lotto and scratch games in Mauritius.
The survey also revealed that about 3% of their monthly budget is spent on gambling, as indicated by the newspaper Le Matinal.
 
As a reminder, it is the company that has Lottotech management since 2009 of the National Lottery in Mauritius and different scratch games existing on the island.
 
During the first six months of 2014, the Lottotech company has accumulated net profits estimated at some 113 million rupees *.
