Madagascar wants to master the technology of extraction of heavy oil from Indonesia
The Malagasy Minister of strategic resources, Joeli Valerien Lalaharisaina, moved from 4 to 9 August on the side of Jakarta invited by the Indonesian authorities.
 
The Minister of strategic resources mission was to revive the links of cooperation in terms of exploitation of heavy oil between the Indonesia and Madagascar.
 
Indonesia is one of the first countries to be embarked on this type of oil exploitation since the 1950s, as the site of Duri on Sumatra Island and which operates the giant American Chevron.
 
Further displacement in Indonesia should be included in the ministerial agenda in 2015.
 
Madagascar Oil projects on the site of Tsimiroro thus incite the Madagascan namely to master upstream heavy oil extraction technology, as reported in the letter of the Indian Ocean.
 
"Currently, the Indonesian national company, Pertamina, has no assets in Madagascar".
