Madagascar: Two suspects detained in the investigation into the explosions of homemade bombs in the heart of Tananarive.
Two people have been imprisoned after their transfer to Malagasy Court in connection with the series of explosion of homemade bombs that struck the capital last month and facing a charge of endangering security of the State.

On 16 September last, a 42 years old electrician who was manipulating a vehicle in the District of Ambondrona found death in a House by making a homemade bomb that exploded.

The owner of the house that served as a manufacturing workshop and the uncle of the deceased electrician were arrested at Antanimora prison.

A third 76 years old suspect has escaped incarceration because of his advanced age and a fourth person who would be involved in this case is still actively sought by the gendarmes of the criminal section.

Weapons, including a Kalashnikov, ammunition, sabres, and grenades as well as all the material used in the manufacture of explosive (detonator, wire, battery) were found in the house in the district of Ambondrona.

As a reminder, security forces had immediately made the link with the previous explosions that had shaken Tananarive since September4.

The first explosion which has damaged a hotel had been claimed by a mysterious group called "defenders of national sovereignty."

The group criticized the international community's interference in the electoral process after the disqualification for the next presidential election three major ex-favorites (Andry Rajoelina, Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka Lalao).
