Madagascar: Traditional dance Festival in late August to dive in the heart of the culture of ethnic Bara
The seventh edition of the festival of traditional dance Karitaky of Ranohira in the region of Ihorombe will take place from 26 to 30 August 2014.

As a reminder, the Karitaky is a primarily feminine and dynamic dance to thank the breeders of zebus with a pronounced swaying hips and arms, while hammering the ground with their feet.

However every year, the traditional dance implemented in pace by the breeders themselves serves today to express their joy during important moments: "selling livestock, birth of a calf, sports and family meeting during market days".

Traditional dance festival Karitaky of Ranohira thus allows visitors to immerse in the culture of Bara ethnicity not far from the national park of Isalo, as the Madagascar Matin newspaper reported.
