Madagascar: Three dead in a fierce shootout between police and criminals in Tananarive

A violent shooting broke out Saturday night at around 8 pm in the District of Antanimora in Tananarive.
Eight heavily armed criminals (fists weapons, Kalashnikovs, shotguns) suspected of being about to commit an act of kidnapping against an entrepreneur of Indian origin have been identified by the police who tried to detain them.
Criminals have not hesitated to open fire on the gendarmes after having been summoned by the military to go, according to the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.

Three criminals have been killed by security forces, including a bullet-riddled at the wheel of car while trying to flee with other buddies who have been their side vanish into thin air.
"Our goal was to capture suspects alive ... When our men were ordered to go and not to try anything, they committed the irreparable retaliating with an arsenal of war. This point of no return has led violent clashes, "laments Colonel Andry Rakotondrazaka, group commander of the gendarmerie Analamanga.
