Madagascar: The trials of the baccalaureate under high police protection
While the tests of general baccalaureate in Madagascar began yesterday with 130,000 candidates from 11 to 77 years on Thursday to brainstorm different topics, law enforcement in tandem to ensure the security of examination centers.

"Two officers of the forces of order will maintain surveillance of each of the exam centers. The movement of subjects and copies will be also escorted until all tests are completed", said an official of the Ministry of education.

Police and gendarmerie officers are deployed in the heart of the examination centers in the island, in these times of political crisis to counter any possible incident coming to disrupt the tests.

Institutions receiving candidates at Diego Suarez, in the extreme northern tip of Madagascar were also secured by a special safety feature, and because of threats of youth gangs who had clearly announced their intention to unstitch with supervisors of examinations, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
