Madagascar: The movement of former president Albert Zafy against the holding of the second round of the presidential election

In the wake of the electoral process that invariably follows its course in Madagascar, the movement of former president Albert Zafy (1993-1996) by the voice of his spokesman, Rémi Kotomanantsoa, declared of being against the holding of the second round of the presidential election set on December 20.

"It must above all achieve national reconciliation so that the Fourth Republic has a solid basis", proclaims loudly Rémi Kotomanantsoa supporting no candidate for the second round during the duel between Jean-Louis Robinson and Harry Rajaonarimampianina.

For Rémi Kotomanantsoa, the electoral process in its current form cannot lead to peace and political stability in Madagascar, as the Midi Madagasikara newspaper relates.

"The Zafy movement launches an urgent appeal to all forces of the Nation to the path of dialogue," argues Rémi Kotomanantsoa that launches the idea of a "round table" again among all stakeholders.
