Madagascar: The giant Austrian petro-gas OMV is positioning itself strategically in the heart of the island

The Austrian petro-gas, Österreichische Mineralolverwaltung (OMV), signed an agreement with the British company, Tullow Oil, specialising in exploration offshore on the African continent, thus opening the doors to the heart of Madagascar strategic positioning in the middle of last week.
This agreement which should receive the endorsement of the Malagasy authorities will allow OMV foothold in the island and have at its disposal 35% of the shares of the two oil blocks Mandabe and Berenty.
Tullow Oil will still hand over the other remaining 65%, as reported in the online newspaper Le Quotidien of Madagascar.
