Madagascar: The biodiversity of Madagascar seduced the German tourists

The German tourists are more likely to visit Madagascar. Thus they spend on the Island about ten times more than the vacation budget used by tourists of other nationalities, as reported by the Midi Madagasikara newspaper.

During his meeting with the Minister of Tourism Benjamina Ramanantsoa, the German ambassador in Madagascar, Harald Gehrig, has emphasised that German tourists are particularly interested in the Malagasy biodiversity.

"They prefer nature and adventure tourism. The embassy is ready to support the Malagasy Ministry of Tourism's efforts to promote the destination in the German market. Madagascar is a paradise on earth", also highlighted Harald Gehrig.

According to the German ambassador, it is also important to improve the aviation infrastructure of Madagascar and the possibility of recovery of partnership between Madagascar and the German airline Lufthansa which is currently anticipated.
