While Madagascar still has no new Prime Minister in the wake of the recent presidential and legislative elections and President Hery Rajaonarimampianina has not yet appointed a successor to Omer Beriziky who still occupies his duties at the Palace of Mahazoarivo of the Prime Minister, the Matsilo party with at its head, Jean Théodore Ranjivason, supports the need for immediate to a referendum in the island by the voice of its leader.

"This is essential, since the current Constitution is simply a copy that is not adapted to the Malagasy realities", said the President of the Matsilo party, former Minister of higher education and who wishes to unblock through this initiative the current political situation.

"The current political situation is blocked while the rehabilitation of the country is urgent... If the current situation continues, the country risks collapsing in a situation of total instability', also says Jean Théodore Ranjivason, as reported by the Midi Madagasikara newspaper.

"This Constitution tailor-made for the former president of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina is not in conformity with the policy of governance of the newly elected president... The current political context is a paradox where former allies have become enemies while former enemies are becoming closer. In addition, the new antagonism can be explained by projects differing governance caused by the will of change for the new president of the Republic and a temptation not avowed status quo pure former leaders", also highlights Jean Théodore Ranjivason, president of the Matsilo party, to explain his choice.

As a reminder, President Hery Rajaonarimampianina recently expressed behind the scenes as the new Prime Minister and his Government team will be appointed upon his return official travel the United States.
