Madagascar: The Indian government alongside Madagascar to strengthen its cooperation with the Island
The Indian authorities have decided to strengthen their cooperation with the island. Thus, all projects suspended at the time of the Transition Plan will be included.

It is in any case the clear message put forward at Ivandry by the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of India in Madagascar, Madan Lal Raigar, during the celebration of the 67th anniversary of the Indian independence and celebrated last weekend at the residence of the Embassy.

As a reminder, India thus remains one of the largest suppliers of generic drugs in Madagascar with about 60% of the drugs of the great Indian peninsula.

Economically, trade between Madagascar and the India are on an upslope.

"The value of imports from India in the first seven months of 2014 was about 116.55 million dollars against 96.25 million dollars in 2013, an increase of 17.5 %", as recalls the release of the India Embassy relayed in the newspaper Les Nouvelles of Madagascar.

Exports of Madagascar to India were valued for their part at 35.02 million for the first quarter of 2014 against 28.93 million recorded last year.
