Madagascar: The European Union ready to cooperate in the development of the island in the wake of the formalisation of new malagasy Government




While the new Government of the Prime Minister Roger Kolo was formalised Friday afternoon with 31 ministries, the European Union has hailed by a release of the head of European diplomacy, Catherine Ashton and Andris Piebalgs, Commissioner in charge of development, "the establishment of new institutions in Madagascar following presidential and credible legislative elections ".
 
The release of the European Union also insists that the formation of this new Government "paves the way for full normalisation of the relations of the European Union with Madagascar and the full resumption of development cooperation".
 
The European Union also calls "the President, the Prime Minister and his Government as well as all the Malagasy authorities to work hand in hand to ensure an economic and social future prosperous and sustainable for all citizens".
 
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of France in Madagascar, François Goldblatt, has expressed the willingness of the French authorities to cooperate with the new Government in place, according to the newspaper Les Nouvelles of the Madagascar.
 
"A Government turned to the action with which the Embassy of France is delighted to cooperate," wrote Ambassador on his account twitter as soon as the new Government announced.
