Madagascar: The Christian churches renew their proposed summit between Didier Ratsiraka, Albert Zafy, Marc Ravalomanana and Andry Rajoelina
The Christian churches in Madagascar (FFKM) do not give up to organize to unlock the Malagasy political crisis still uncertain at the eve of the presidential elections, a summit meeting between the three former presidents (Didier Ratsiraka, Albert Zafy, Marc Ravalomanana) and the current President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina.

"We are convinced of the need for a dialogue aimed at reconciliation between us (note: the four leaders of Christian Churches and the three former presidents and the President of the Transition)", said Bishop Odon Razanakolona Archbishop of Tananarive on Wednesday evening at Ivato, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.

But the current impossibility for Marc Ravalomanana stripped of his presidential power in 2009 and exiled from South Africa, severely hampers the process of dialogue initiated expanded since last May by the Christian Churches in Madagascar.

"Reconciliation is a long process. It cannot be done in two days otherwise it will be a drama, a comedy", also stressed Odon Razanakolona Bishop, Archbishop of Tananarive.

This summit also favors (SADC), which determines its support for the efforts by the Christian Churches for a resolution of the political crisis in the Big Island, at the return of Marc Ravalomanana Madagascar.

"Before providing support for the organization of a meeting ... SADC would be assured that the necessary conditions are met for the former President Marc Ravalomanana could return to the country safely", wrote Jakaya Kikwete, President of Tanzania, in a letter to FFKM.
