Madagascar: The Christian churches are working to promote the holding of an extraordinary summit between Marc Ravalomanana, Andry Rajoelina, Didier Ratsiraka and Albert Zafy
The Christian churches of Madagascar (FFKM) convinced of a possible national reconciliation still bustled behind the scenes to set up a meeting at the Summit between the President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina and three former presidents (Marc Ravalomanana, Didier Ratsiraka and Albert Zafy).

Several emissaries of all parties, three for each informal delegation met in midweek to finalize a meeting in Tananarive to unlock the political crisis in the island, and this, on the eve of a President elections postponed indefinitely for now.

But the physical presence at the extraordinary summit of Marc Ravalomanana, forfeited his presidential power in 2009 and exiled from South Africa, still currently decelerating the process of dialogue initiated expanded since last May by the Christian Churches in Madagascar, as relates the newspaper Express of Madagascar.

The initiative is also supported by the southern African development community (SADC), which conditioned its support for the efforts of the Christian churches for an exit from crisis, at the unconditional return of Marc Ravalomanana in Madagascar.
