Madagascar: The Antsirabe police want to fight against the fatal brawls between rival gangs
The town of Antsirabe in centre of Madagascar is regularly shaken by violent clashes between groups of young people who sometimes face death.

The phenomenon of violence between rival gangs composed of teenagers worries the authorities of Antsirabe who want to curb the resurgence of these fights in the heart of the city, which destroy everything in their wake. Before confrontation the teenagers drink alcohol, smoke cannabis, and chew qat leaves, as the lexpressmada.com relates.

"From now on, we will stop all young bands, and we will not tolerate any breach of law committed by groups of college students", warned the commander Lova Randrianasolo at the head of the police staff in the area.

The local police have decided to redouble their efforts to put an end to this juvenile delinquency which degenerates into pitched battles between two rival camps, with passersby molested.
