Madagascar: The African Union argues violently on the candidacy of Andry Rajoelina without sparing on the way Lalao Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka
After the criticism of the SADC on 10 May (Editor's note: Southern Africa Development Community) and the European Union, May 15, on applications in the first round of presidential elections on 24 July, of the former President Didier Ratsiraka, wife of former head of State, Lalao Ravalomanana, and the current president of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, it is the turn of the African Union (AU) to castigate the positioning of the three candidates.

A meeting of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union, which was held on Thursday at Addis Abeba in Ethopie expressly, invites Didier Ratsiraka, Lalao Ravalomanana and Andry Rajoelina, to withdraw from the race to the supreme Office of Madagascar for an "appeased environment" of the political crisis that shakes the big island since 2009.

The AU in a statement attacks violently Andry Rajoelina, by recalling that he has not kept his past commitments.

"Regarding specifically Andry Rajoelina, ... the doctrine of the AU prohibits the participation of individuals who have contributed or received an unconstitutional change of government in the elections held to restore constitutional order",  the counsel of peace and security, the executive organ of the African Union.
