Madagascar: Tax revenues down for the first half of 2013




According to the Malagasy Ministry of finance and Budget, tax revenues for the first half of 2013 in the island were 1.148,6 billion ariary, near 371.5 million euros.
 
Recorded tax revenues are down by 220.3 billion ariary compared to the originally planned amount and which should be around 1.371,6 billion ariary (443.6 million euros).
 
Customs revenues collected including almost 499.1 billion ariary, while the Malagasy State forecasting 635.4 billion ariary.
 
At the same time, 652.2 billion ariary of taxes were received compared with expected 736.2 billion ariary.
