Madagascar: Suspense for both presidential candidates

The results of presidential elections in Madagascar are very tight even though both candidates are already shouting victory.

The suspense remains intact. According to the latest figures of the second round available from the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC-T) ofTuesday evening, Henry Rajaonarimampianina and Jean Louis Robinson differences are minimal.

Indeed, unlike the first round of the results, the candidate of the Transition is falling with a score of 52.89% to 51.48% against 48.52% for his rival Robinson of the Avana party.

Results of the second round cast suspense in spite that both candidates appear serene as a victory in the presidential elections. The vote count so far was made on 5 620 386 voters and the rest is estimated at approximately 2100 000.

Moreover, the participation rate recorded a slight increase and rose from 49 to 50.40%.
