Madagascar: Ravalomanana plays his last cards for his fast return to the island
After the eviction of the candidacy of Lalao Ravalomanana of the Malagasy presidential election of October 25 by the Special Electoral Court (CES), the movement of the former president, Marc Ravalomanana, exiled in South Africa since 2009 plays his last card to influence the political landscape of the island.

Thus, Marc Ravalomanana has addressed last Saturday a strong message of support to Christian Churches of Madagascar (FFKM) and urged them to continue their efforts of Peace Agreement.
A position made through phone while he was talking to his supporters gathered in his stronghold in Behoririka Magro.

The Christian churches of Madagascar have been working for weeks with the emissaries of each party to set up a summit meeting in Tananarive between the President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina and the three former presidents (Marc Ravalomanana, Didier Ratsiraka, and Albert Zafy).

With the equal forcible withdrawal of Andry Rajoelina and Didier Ratsiraka in the wake of that of Lalao Ravalomanana, holding behind the scenes of this meeting could accelerate and enable rapid return of former president Marc Ravolamanana in Madagascar.

"Article 20 of the Road (Editor's note: Article which provides for the return of Marc Ravalomanana to Madagascar) has not been complied. The law as part of the transition thus has more reason to exist. It is time to implement the Roadmap of Madagascar", said Eliane Naïka, member of
Ravalomanana, making explicit reference also to the proposed peace agreement initiated by the Christian churches.

Marc Ravalomanana will also have the opportunity to defend his position before the SADC mediators that will meet during the week, as related by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
