Madagascar: Ravalomanana candidate again if...
The president of the Congress of the Transition Mamy Rakotoarivelo, faithful lieutenant of the former deposed president in 2009, Marc Ravalomanana, threw a stone in the pond on the Malagasy political scene.
 
While its leader in exile in South Africa officially declared its withdrawal on 12th December of the Madagascar presidential elections scheduled in May 2013, this scenario may not see the day. A withdrawal was however negotiated at the extraordinary Summit of SADC (the Southern African development community) of Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania on December 7-8.

"To overcome the crisis, we must convince Marc Ravalomanana and Andry Rajoelina not to stand as candidates in the forthcoming general elections" ,announced a press release of the SADC at the end of the Dar es Salaam meeting.

For Mamy Rakotoarivelo of the movement of former president Marc Ravalomanana, the current president of the displayed procrastination of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, has not formalized his non- publicly candidacy to the presidential are not eligible.

In this atmosphere of uncertainty and if Andry Rajoelina came to run for the supreme leadership or was slow to decide, Marc Ravalomana would be forced according to his supporters to review its copy and to reposition himself in the race for the Presidency before March 8, closing date for applications.
