Madagascar: Rajoelina refuses as well to withdraw his candidacy for presidential elections
While the SADC (Southern African development community) had expressed, at the end of last week, that Lalao Ravalomanana, Didier Ratsiraka and Rajoelina Andry withdraw their candidates from the first round of the presidential elections of 24 July, Andry Rajoelina, current president of the Transition has also followed the steps of the other two candidates, categorically refusing to renounce for the run of Madagascar.

"It is not us, the Malagasy, who asked for the establishment of the Special Electoral Court (CES). We already have the High Constitutional Court, but we were asked to create. What do they want in the end...? It is a structure put in place by the international community and the signatories of the roadmap. In my opinion, its decision is sovereign and is more questionable. It is taxable at all", said Andry Rajoelina to the lexpressmada.com site.

As a reminder, Andry Rajoelina, was drafted in extremis as a candidate by the Special Electoral Court, after the deadline for applications deposits.
