Madagascar: Rajoelina and Ravalomanana back into the presidential race
An umpteenth meeting on the Malagasy political crisis initiated by the SADC (Southern African development community), in Dar-es-Salaam, in Tanzania, on Friday, have resulted in a spectacular about-face according to sources close to the case in the Tanzanian capital.

After having advocated the bilateral withdrawal, last December, of the race in Madagascar presidential elections scheduled in May 2013 of the current President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, and the former deposed president in 2009, Marc Ravalomanana, the SADC has changed track emitting the hope that the two rivals now align the starting line, as related lexpressmada.com site.

An interview between Andry Rajoelina and the Tanzanian president, Jakaya Kikwete, who holds the Presidency of the SADC, have unblocked the political situation that was stalled after sidelining the two leading candidates for the presidency of the big island.
