Madagascar Presidential Election: dissemination of estimates temporarily suspended

Madagascar Presidential Election: dissemination of estimates temporarily suspended
The website of the independent National Electoral Commission for the Transition (CENIT), which is currently in the counting of the results of the first round of the presidential election of October 25, 2013 suffered on Sunday in a computer hacking.

"This piracy has touched only the dissemination of results", explains to Radio France International a framework of the electoral commission, which also stresses that "counting software was not affected".

For obvious reasons of safety and to deal with possible future challenges, dissemination of estimates is provisionally suspended since yesterday evening.

Before upgrading this intrusion attempt, a quarter of the 20,001 offices were stripped, with always the same trend that emerges.

Jean-Louis Robinson, supported by the movement of former president Marc Ravalomanana is still far ahead Hery Rajaonarimampianina, the former Minister Finance and candidate pushed behind the scenes by Andry Rajoelina in the race for the highest office.
