Madagascar Presidential Election: A death and a person kidnapped in the early hours of polling
A district chief was killed this morning inside a polling station in southern Madagascar, more than one and a half hour after the beginning of the Malagasy presidential election, announces a government source.
 
 "At Benenitra, around 7:30 in the morning, a leader of fokontany (Editor's Note: Malagasy district) was killed at the polling station." People panicked that interrupted the election. But the polling station was moved. At the time we are talking about, the election resumed its normal course" says the Government source to Agence France Presse.
 
Two other incidents were identified, the abduction of a woman at a polling station in Bezaha, municipality in the South of Madagascar, as well as the fire of another office to vote in Tsaratanana, in the North of the island.
 
In both cases, the polling place has changed and the electoral operations were able to resume then normally.
 
 In the rest of the country, the first round of Madagascar presidential poll did not been enameled incidents for the moment.
