Madagascar: Police and gendarmerie officers strongly mobilised for the Easter weekend in the region of Tananarive




More than 2,000 police and gendarmes have been deployed on the ground to secure the long weekend of Easter celebrations in the heart of the Malagasy capital Tananarive and its region, as indicated by the newspaper Les Nouvelles of the Madagascar.
 
As a reminder, the Easter weekend in Madagascar in 2013 had been overshadowed by a lot of fatal traffic accidents, brawls, attempted suicide, ethyl coma and other domestic dramas (drowning, electrocution, poisoning).
 
A human toll that amounted last year during the festivities of Easter at 7 dead and some 380 wounded for the Tananarive region only.
