Madagascar: Perturbation around counterfeit drugs circulating on the Island




Counterfeit medicines in illegal storehouse and pharmacies of the Island menace the public health in Madagascar.
 
The Malagasy Prime Minister, Roger Kolo, has recently explained that "counterfeit medicines are a threat to the care and are harmful to patients in a way that they turn into poison instead of curing."
 
The US laboratory Merck, major player on innovative pharmaceutical markets, agreed to financially assist the Malagasy authorities for the creation of two laboratories in Madagascar responsible for detecting suspicious origin of counterfeit pharmaceuticals products and introduced on the Malagasy soil.
