Madagascar: Oil research on the West coast of the island




Two ships having their head offices registered in the United States, the BGP Challenger and Norway for the Mv Maria and after obtaining the permission of the national Office for the environment are currently oil explorations by seismic wave of the Malagasy seabed in two months on the West coast of Madagascar, especially in Mahajamba Bay.

Areas of exploration off the coast of the region of Boeny are between 50 meters and 1,000 meters deep between Ampasindava North to Cape Saint-André.
