Madagascar: New maritime link under consideration between the port of Tamatave and that of Durban in South Africa




 
The Minister of Trade of Madagascar, Narson Rafidimanana pleaded there a few days in the South during the trade fair in Durban (18-21 September), Africa for the opening of a sea link between the port of Tamatave located in East of the Island and one in Durban, South Africa.
 
Discussions have been held and including representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Durban on a draft maritime hub of transhipment of containers.
 
The port in deep Ehoala waters, located near Fort Dauphin in the south-eastern extremity of Madagascar, was also referred to the transshipment operations, as reported by the newspaper Les Nouvelles of Madagascar.
